Peng Chau, an island between

Type Mainly Flat, internal height differences 0 to
Built-up area with residential houses, shops and Restaurants.
Access within the competition area consists of paved walkways
& streets (95%) and unpaved paths(5%).
Traffic Condition Under normal circumstance, no motorized traffic runs on the
island. However, ambulance and fire-engines may be running on
the island in the event of emergency. Please give way to the
pedestrians and take serious attention of
not bumping into
them. Please also take care of the bicycle running on the island.

Exceptions With the approval from the Event Controller, all competitors are
explicitly allowed to visit Peng Chau as Tourists (sightseeing,
visiting restaurants, shopping etc.). However it is not allowed to
do orienteering training sessions i.e. running/racing through the
island, testing route choices etc. On 4 April 2004. the race day,
Peng Chau will become a restricted area from 0600-1400 hours.
During that time, all competitors are not allowed to enter the
competition area before and after his/her competition.
Event Information The Event Information together with the Start
Times of all the
competitors will be issued one week before the event.
