Transport
No transport will be provided. Competitors are advised to use the
following public transport to the Event Centre:

Get off the bus/minibus
at Tsing Lung Tau and then walk to the Event Centre.
Event Centre
1.
It takes at least an hour to walk from
Tsing Lung Tau Minibus Station to the Event Centre. You should follow the signs; otherwise you will violate the competition
rules.
2.
The Event Centre is near the Yuen Tun
Campsite (KK958770).
3.
Toilets are not available.
4.
Physiotherapy service will be provided.
5.
Official time will be displayed in the
Event Centre.
6.
No fire is allowed. Please keep the Event Centre clean and
take all rubbish away.
7.
You are advised not to take valuables to
the Event Centre. The organizer
will not provide luggage storage service and will not be responsible for loss
of your belongings.
Electronic Punching and Timing System (EPTS)
1.
Please refer to the attached information on the EPTS for
details.
2.
You have to use the same number cloth throughout the
Champions League. Please keep it in
good shape!
3.
You should take your own electronic control card and number
cloth (safety pins available at Event Centre). If you forget to take your control card,
you will have to pay a $50 hiring fee and an $150
deposit, which will be refunded once the card is returned to the
organizer. (The number of spare
cards is limited. First come first
served!). If you forget to take
your number cloth, you will have to pay $5 to get a new one.
4.
Ensure that the number of your electronic card is the same as
that shown on the Start List. If
not, please contact the OAHK as soon as possible for correction.

Information on Competition Area and Map
THICK!
FIGHT! THICK!
PATH! ROAD! PATH!
1.
Dense! Full of
thorny undergrowth!! There are
forests with different running speeds!
2.
Paths and roads are very easy, but don¡¦t ¡§overshoot¡¨!
3.
You might have to take the risk of achieving a poor result
if you try to follow indistinct paths.
4.
There may be vehicles on roads. For your safety, beware of them.
Starting Procedure
1.
The Start, which you will be able to see it, is so close to
the Event Centre.
2.
Please arrive at the Start at
least 5 minutes prior to your starting time.
3. Please put on number cloth
in front of your chest and take your compass, whistle and
electronic control card.
Competitors without all items are not allowed to start.
4. A ¡§2-minute zone¡¨ system
will be employed at the Start.
Entry time will be shown there.
Please enter the first box of the ¡§2-minute zone¡¨ when your starting
time is shown.

Your may start and take your map only after hearing the last
beep. Please check if the
information on your map is correct and then follow streamers to the start
marker. Competitors
may not stay along the corridor between the Start and the start marker.
7.
Latecomers must report to start
officials and will be arranged to start at the late starting lane. The time lost will not be compensated.
Finishing Procedure and Result
Processing
1. You must report to the
Finish or the Event Centre before 13:22, no matter whether you complete your
course or possess your electronic control card.
2. You must ¡§punch¡¨ the
control card at the ¡§finish unit¡¨.
When you cross the finishing line is your finishing time. Please hand the back-up label to finish
officials before leaving the Finish.
3. After leaving the Finish,
you should go to the Result Processing Station to download your result as soon
as possible. You are responsible
for any damage of your card and lost of data during the journey.
4. The Result Processing Station is about 300 metres from the Event Centre.
Competition Rules
1.
The Orienteering Competition By-law of the OAHK shall
apply to this event.
2.
No aids other than those
mentioned above may be used.
3.
Loss of control card will be
considered as ¡§did not finish¡¨ (DNF), but you still have to report to the
Finish.
4.
You must not move or damage any
facilities; otherwise the organizer will claim compensation from you.
5.
Do you smoke or ignite any
cigarette products.
6.
You must download your result at the Result Processing
Station within 30 minutes after completing your course.
7.
Competitors who have finished
may not show their maps to runners who have not started.
8.
Competitors must obey the
instructions of the organizer.
9.
The organizer has the right to
amend these competition rules without prior notice. The amendment, if any, will be displayed
at the Event Centre.
10.
Violation of competition rules
will lead to disqualification.
1. Complaints can be made
against infringements of the Orienteering Competition By-law of the OAHK
or the organizer¡¦s instructions.
They shall be made orally or in writing, and reach the organizer as soon
as possible. Complaints relating to
your result shall be made within 15 minutes after the release of your
result. Your complaint will be
adjudicated by the organizer and you will be informed of the decision
immediately.
2. A protest can be made
against the organizer¡¦s decision about your complaint. It shall be made in writing to the
organizer/a member of the jury as soon as possible and within 30 minutes after
the release of the organizer¡¦s decision about you complaint.
Remarks
1.
If there are any changes of this event information, the
version displayed on the competition day will be conclusive.
2.
All competitors shall be
responsible for their own safety and legal responsibility. The organizer will not bear any
responsibilities.
3.
The organizer does not provide
luggage storage service and will not be responsible for loss of
belongings. Consequently, you are
advised not to take valuables.
4.
If a thunderstorm signal, a
rainstorm red/black warning or the No.3 (or above) tropical cyclone warning
signal is in effect at 06:00 on the competition day, this event will be
postponed. You will be informed of
the new date in due course.
5. All competitors must
respect other country park users.
Competitors do not have priority in using the competition area.
